9/11 state of emergency
9/11 state of emergency is a documentary about the terrorist attack on the united states of America. The film features interviews with air force pilots, fire chiefs and relatives of hijacked passengers and survivors and rescuers from the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.
On September 11, 2001 19 militants associated with the islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States.
Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the pentagon just outside washington D.C and a fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The impact left a gaping hold near the 80th floor this killed hundreds of people and trapping hundreds more on the higher floors.
Less then 15 minutes after the terrorist struck the nerve center of the U.S military, the horror in New York took a catastrophic turn for the worse when the south tower of the world trade center collapsed in a massive cloud of dust and smoke.
This feature lenght drama tells the story of 9/11 in the words of key political and military leaders as
well as ordinary people who suddenly found themselves on the frontlines of a new kind of war.
